There are currently ten C.A.R. societies in the state of Alabama. Each society is comprised of officers, members, and senior leaders.
No society near you? Email carala1895@gmail.com for information on how to start a local society in your community.
Starting a new C.A.R. Society is easy. You only need 6 new members approved, selection and approval of a society name, and have an Organizing Meeting!
I have included Jennifer Pennington in this email as the Senior Society President for the Alabama Society. You will need some paperwork and approval from her.
Above is the link to the National C.A.R. webpage and attached is the most recent C.A.R. application (revised 2017). It is very much like a DAR application and can be downloaded from the above link. The hugest difference is that a C.A.R. application must be completely filled in by hand. There is no build an app database for C.A.R.
I'd have to look for most recent dues and application fees. But I do know there is a discount for siblings with the same ancestor. When a girl is 18 she can be a Dual Member until she is 22. A dual member is a member of C.A.R. and DAR. On their 22nd birthday members 'age out' of C.A.R. DAR waves the $75 application fee for a C.A.R. member in good standing. And Life Membership is a 20% discount over paying annual Nat'l dues.
